The Event

Yes, you like drinking wine, but have you ever considered how to make it? Join us behind the scenes for a winemaking masterclass, and experience a day of tasting and blending as we offer you a sneak peak of what really goes into making a bottle of wine.

First off, you'll get a tour of the winery and we'll explain how we get our grapes from the vineyards of Europe to the barrels of SW6. We'll share tasting tips and tricks, and you'll learn what clues to look out for when assessing wine. After that you'll be able to get stuck in, experimenting with adding acid, tannin and sugar to wine and discovering how it affects the final taste.

Then we break for lunch, with a two course meal at The Atlas gastropub, all included. Use this is as your chance to grill our winemaker or just relax in this cosy pub after a morning's tasting.

Back at the winery, the afternoon will focus on blending and you'll use your new-found skills to create your own signature cuvée, which we will bottle for you to take home and enjoy. We round off the day with a tasting of London Cru's own latest creations.

Thank you again for a fantastic day on Saturday. I really enjoyed it. It’s hard to think of many ways in which it could have been improved.

I thought the event last Saturday was absolutely fantastic - well organised, educational, extremely interesting and fun ... I would hugely encourage any wine enthusiast to go along.
