At a Glance

Textured, with a fresh citrus finish, this Bacchus is summer, vinified. Zippy, with flavours of elderflower, cut grass and lemon pith. With grapes grown in Kent and made into wine in London, our 2014 Bacchus couldn't get more English. Drink with lemony spaghetti alle vongole, sprinkled with parsley.

In Depth

Beautiful warm and sunny weather in the summer of 2014 meant we had a stunning harvest of grapes to use for this award-winning Bacchus. We wanted to create a wine that was true to its varietal appeal, while avoiding the overly acidic character that often afflicts this delicate grape variety. The grapes were pressed as whole bunches, after which the juice was left to settle for 12 hours. Fermentation was split between stainless steel and neutral oak barrels, with texture built into the wine through bâtonnage (lees stirring).
