London Cru’s Vineyard

Where Do Our Grapes Come From?

Our vineyard spans 6.5 hectares in the heart of West Sussex, near the picturesque town of Bolney—just a 45-minute drive from London.

Planted in 2008 and 2009, our vineyard is home to over 20,000 vines, including premium grape varieties such as Pinot Noir, Bacchus, and Pinot Gris.

Depending on seasonal weather and yield management, our vineyard can produce between 20 to 50 tonnes of high-quality wine grapes annually.

This ideal location and carefully maintained vineyard allow us to grow exceptional grapes for crafting distinctive English wines.

Cliff’s Woodland Trust Project

Our founder, Cliff, is committed to protecting the English countryside and giving back to the land. In partnership with the Woodland Trust, he transformed a field into a peaceful native woodland, planted in memory of his son, Luke.

Located in rural England, this public woodland is open for all to visit, offering a quiet space for reflection, nature walks, and connection with the environment.

Harvest 2023: A New Chapter for London Cru

In 2023, we proudly took ownership of our vineyard in West Sussex, a site that perfectly aligns with London Cru’s vision.

After years of sourcing grapes from across the UK, we found the ideal mix of location, grape varieties, and charm right here.

With Pinot Noir, Bacchus, and Pinot Gris thriving on-site, the 2023 harvest (widely hailed as one of the best in recent history) was the perfect beginning.
