  • Nose: Carbonic and fresh. Ripe cranberry aromas add to an attractive red-berry nose.

  • Mouth: Red fruit forward with layer of light smoky tannin and a hint of bramble on the finish.

  • Conclusion: A cool climate, light, elegant red.

  • Food: We recommend you drink this in the sun, paired with charcuterie, and serve slightly chilled (14°c).  Also pairs with grilled aubergine, salty cheese, fatty fish salmon/tuna, duck, pork and venison.

Pinot Noir remains one of the hardest wines to produce in the UK. However, it is still our favourite style to produce. Our 2023 Pinot Noir Précoce is a unique variation that offers a sophisticated twist on the classic varietal with it’s elegant balance of bright fruit flavours and a smooth, refined finish. Over the past 5 years we have been working with this early ripening clone to bring you the same light, low extraction, elegant red—everything you’re looking for in a cool climate Pinot.

Précoce thrives in cooler climates, permitting the fruit to develop to its full potential while retaining its remarkable freshness and vibrancy. Our vineyard, nestled in West Sussex, provides the perfect environment for cultivating this early-ripening grape. The cooler temperatures combined with the rich clay-loam soils encourage the grapes to mature swiftly, allowing the natural characteristics of the grape to shine through.

100% destemmed, semi-carbonic maceration. Fermentation was completed in concrete tanks, followed by ageing in neutral oak barrels (40%) and concrete tank (50%).
